Supporting the Ayrshire Alps

We are proud to be sponsoring the 2013 Ayrshire Alps Cycling Festival, a full weekend of youth, recreational and professional cycling in Girvan, where I grew up.

As a youngster the Easter holidays meant going out to watch the famous Girvan Cycle Race, with the UK’s top talent on two wheels on show.

To build on this tradition, Ayr Roads Cycling Club recently set up the Ayrshire Alps Cycle Park, to encourage locals and tourists alike to get out on their bike and enjoy the quiet and challenging roads in the hills and mountains east of Girvan.

This year is the first of the festival, which includes races for Youths, two Audax leisure/challenge rides for amateurs like me and the David Bell Memorial Race for the UK’s top professionals.

If this event can inspire more young people to take up cycling and bring more people to this beautiful part of the world then Digital My Way wants to be a part of it. We hope you do too, so stick the weekend of 17-18 August 2013 in your diary!
