Where to begin? I have spent the last three and a half years working in various roles for the Department for International Development (DFID), the last year of which was as a Web Co-ordinator. In my latest role, my responsibilities included WordPress design and development, as well as myriad other tasks, ranging from analytics measurement to writing accessibility reports.
As a contractor, I always knew my time there was limited, but when the inevitable happened and my contract was not renewed, I decided that I wanted to be my own boss. So now I have taken the plunge and become self employed, hoping to build my own web business, on my terms, delivering services which make people’s businesses better. A bold and idealistic statement, but it gives me something to aim for!
So let me introduce digitalMYway – showing the world what I can do for them. Be it web design, PSD > HTML, WordPress themes, advising on how best to make your site usable or using screen readers to test your page structure, I’m ready and raring to go.
I’m not sure yet how often I’ll blog, as there are so many tech bloggers out there already, but it’d be great to hear your feedback.
Now if only the builders upstairs would stop banging, I’d start doing some work…
